Take the High Road

"Vibrant Trail" by Drew John Tankersley

Happy sez- As we go through our lives we have an often overwhelming amount of choices including the constant changing of our life trail.  This life path of ours is often compared to a road or trail across the land rather than the path of a sub-atomic particle even though the rules that govern our life may be closer to those that govern the particles of life rather than those that govern a trip through space-time, but be that as it may we as human animals understand a trip across the desert or over the mountains more that we understand our lives.
As we travel across the land  we sometimes go through periods where we cannot see the trail a few feet  ahead, other times you can see for miles ahead.  But even though you can see for miles what's ahead you can not see the sudden changes that life will bring you through that trip, a tree across the road for example is not just a change in your road trip but it is a change primarily in your life trip forcing your to make a change and a choice in you life trail.  When your out hiking and you are lost you always hike, when possible, toward lower ground following a creek or river whose flow is governed by the law of gravity, but when you're going though life and choosing which path of life to take it is always better to follow God's natural laws and take the high ground.  Sometimes for many reasons, some good, some bad it can be mighty tempting to not take the high road of life, always a bad choice with a bad outcome.  Other times, I think most of time we're not sure of the trail, like when you're in the woods and a dense underbrush or fog only allows you to see a few feet, it can be mighty hard to know which way to go, and even if you think your on the right trail you might be wrong.  But when you can see the choices in your life and you have a clear view of what's right then that is the path to take, the highest path - the path that is not just correct, but right.  During those times in life when your see your not going where you want, you do the same thing that you do traveling across country - you adjust your course until you can see clearly that you can clearly see.
