A New Year's Moment

"John's Squares" by Drew John Tankersley

Happy sez- Well, that time has come again, but will be gone tomorrow, that time when time meets man in a brief moment, a brief nexus of past and future, THE moment when the past becomes the bright and hopeful future ( local time, of course).  The New Year is upon us, and so at midnight tonight, that magic moment of  time that separates memories from anticipation, we celebrate not just the troubles and triumphs of the past year nor the hope for a better tomorrow, so much as the fact that there will be a tomorrow because tomorrow is already here, and since tomorrow is already here that means that like the seasons change, the cycle continues.  The cycle of life, like the change of the seasons is not only a cycle of life and death, of youth and age, of hope and renewal, but a cycle of faith as well.  Happy New Year!!!

Silent Serenity

"The Lamp" by D. J. Tankersley

A lamp was lit over two thousand years ago that shines the light of heavenly love across the face of the earth and the soul of man and because of that light the silent serenity of God's peace and joy lights our hopes not just for the season, but for all eternity.  Have a Blessed Christmas!

No Half Souls

"Bright Comet Night" by Drew John Tankersley

Happy sez- It is said that man is made in the image of God, but I don't think that means that Aunt Agatha looks like God, but rather I believe that means that Aunt Agatha is made with the goodness and grace of God.

Clearing the Air

"Cindy's Afternoon Storm" by D. J. Tankersley

If you have ever taken a drive through the desert after a rainstorm you will usually notice that the air has a unique sharpness and clarity to it, you can see things way off in the distance that are usually a bit blurred but now seem sharp and clear, you can see things you could not see before and it is almost as though you were looking though some kind of magical spyglass.

The Christmas Gift

"Vibrant  Trail" by Drew John Tankersley

Happy sez- Christmas is rather an odd holiday, it's a birthday that is celebrated by giving gifts not to the one whose birthday it is but to each other.  Since Christ is no longer in our presence in flesh and blood does that mean that we should not give Him a present, but instead have an orgy on each of His birthday's giving each other

Anger of the Season

"Anger" by Drew John Tankersley

Happy sez- Anger is often about in this season of peace and joy, even with the news turned off there is still the increased worry and frustration of the season which of course, brings out the increased anger in this season of quiet reverent reflection.
